Rent Smart Wales Approved Licence Training
Under the Housing (Wales) Act 2014, all persons concerned in the management of rented property must obtain a licence from a newly created regulator, Rent Smart Wales.
Anyone who deals with day to day tenancies, letting and management tasks must be trained, before a licence can be applied for. A19 is approved and authorised by Rent Smart Wales to deliver Landlord and Agent Training.
Who needs to undertake training and be licensed?
Anyone who is concerned with letting property to tenants in Wales must obtain a licence, this includes:
- Private landlords involved in letting activity, who rent property to one or more tenants
- Letting or property management agents, who interact with tenants on behalf of a landlord
How Can I Access Training?
A19 has a dedicated site for our Rent Smart Wales activity: www.landlords.wales
Here you can access information about upcoming programmes in your area. From 1st Janaury 2016, an online programme will be available for both landlords and letting agents, providing a convenient and cost competitive training option.
